I perceive our personal experiences in the form of three-dimensional bricks, which are basic building blocks, and come in many colours and shapes.

My personal theory is based on the height of the bricks as well as on the two different directions in which we can build, vertically or horizontally, and the paths we set. Each brick represents a quality of yourself and your experience. The bricks placed vertically on top of one another have a quantitative, accumulative value as they represent the layers of experience you have on the specific area, type etc. Accordingly, the bricks placed horizontally in space, visualise the setting of different ways and paths that you have taken during your life and professional career.

The bricks that form my educational background represent my roots in photography and design. In the past, I have experimented on multidisciplinary projects, ranging from communication design, typography, motion design to interactive installations. Those bricks, exposed me to different mediums and types of projects and gave me an overall understanding on how to research, set, design and communicate an idea.

Initially, I started placing the bricks for my professional path on design back in 2012 when I started as a web designer and then worked to specialise as a user interface designer. I have worked in digital agencies and brands, such as Wedia, Atcom, Pixual, Vodafone and for the last few years at Allwyn Lottery Solutions. I have created a varied skill set, which includes expertise on the innovation process of a project, setting user experiences, defining the creative direction, crafting visuals and user interfaces as well as building prototypes. Every project is a challenge that proves how important it is for a designer to adapt and to communicate to the audience the initial idea of the product or service.

On a parallel basis, there is an entire pathway created by the bricks tagged with the label: photography, which has also been an important part of my life and career so far. Photography is a highly valued complementary activity for me, which enhances and expands my core skills in design.
